Over 1.5 Million Pounds of Grain
In 2022, we brewed with over 1.5 million pounds of Maine-grown grain, and that number is only growing. Learn how we helped build our local grain economy.
This beer’s name honors the rich tradition of farming in the sixteen counties of Maine. Keeping with that sentiment, we brew the beer with grains exclusively grown and processed in Maine, including: Maine Malt House 2-row malted barley, Blue Ox Malthouse 2-row malted barley, Maine Grains raw wheat, and Aurora Mills & Farm oats. Sixteen Counties has a golden hue with notes of honey, tropical hops, citrus, and a hint of cereal grain. The beer’s flavor is meant to showcase the next generation of quality farming in Maine.
