We couldn’t be more proud of our team. Because of their hard work and passion, we just won three major awards at the Great American Beer Festival. And with more than 2,000 breweries submitting for the 2023 competition, this was one of the most competitive fields that we’ve ever been a part of.
- Gold Medal for Tripel in the Belgian-style Abbey Ale category
- Silver Medal for Allagash White in the Belgian-style Witbier category
- Brewery and Brewer of the Year in the “Brewery Group” size category
This year’s GABF wins are also especially significant for Allagash White, bringing the number of GABF medals that it has won to 8, including 4 Gold, 2 Silver, and 2 Bronze. Add that to the 7 more medals that Allagash White has won at the World Beer Cup and Euro Beer Star Awards (the other two most widely-entered international beer competitions) and this victory further cements Allagash White as the most-awarded Belgian-style witbier in the world.* It also brings the number of medals that Tripel has won to 6 (4 Gold, 2 Silver).
