We’re proud to announce that we’ve signed on as Official Brewery Partner to Maine’s debut professional soccer club, Portland Hearts of Pine.
The team’s season kicks off in Spring 2025 at the historic Fitzpatrick Stadium. Be on the lookout for us at home games, Hearts events at our brewery, and even a special collaboration beer for you to enjoy during matches.
Here’s what Jason, our brewmaster, has to say about his excitement for our collaboration: Soccer is growing fast here in the U.S. And on top of my personal love of the sport, this team shares our brewery’s values by being community-minded and bringing people together. We’re thrilled to partner with the team and are looking forward to joining fellow soccer fans at Fitzpatrick Stadium to cheer on the Hearts and enjoy some Allagash.
Like us, the Hearts of Pine team is inspired by a love for Maine. The club crest features an iconic Maine pine tree set against deep blue water, basking in the glow of a unique creation, the Dirigo Heart, which re-imagines Maine’s famous Dirigo Star in the spirit of Portland’s beloved Valentine’s Day Bandit.
Allagash Brewmaster, Jason Perkins, sports his official Hearts of Pine gear for our big announcement.
Kevin Schol, President of the Hearts of Pine, says: Our club is a reflection of the diverse communities and cultures of Maine, and Allagash Brewing Company has long been a beacon of pride for the city of Portland and state as a whole. Having a beloved beer brand located right in our backyard as our brewery partner was a natural fit.
This team has been our dream for nearly five years, says Gabe Hoffman-Johnson, Founder of the Hearts of Pine. It started as a community-built and city-backed movement to bring professional soccer to Maine, and now it’s finally here. Having the support of major players with shared values in our community like Allagash is gratifying and impactful.
We view this partnership as just another way that we can be a part of, and give back to, our community. We’re a B-Corp certified brewery that collaborates with multiple local partners, including giving back 1% of our annual revenue to Maine organizations like Sebago Clean Waters, Maine Grain Alliance, Portland Trails, among others.
Stay tuned for more things Hearts from us. We can’t wait to see you at the game!
